BACK TO BEATCITYLast updated October 14, 2026
In short: BeatCity works without an account, and then everything stays on your device. If you sign in, your songs and sound settings are saved to your account so they appear on your other devices. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking. You can delete your account and everything in it at any time.
Without an account
Your songs, your edits to the built-in songs, the song you last had open, your drum kit and your track mix are saved in your browser's storage on this device. Sound kits and the app itself are saved on the device too, so BeatCity works offline. None of this is sent anywhere.
With an account
Signing in is optional. If you sign in, BeatCity stores:
- your email address, and your password (only as a secure hash, never the password itself);
- your saved songs: name, tempo and pattern;
- your settings: drum kit, track mix, how many steps the grid shows, edits to built-in songs, and which song you last had open, so another device can open on it.
When you delete a song, a marker that it was deleted is kept so your other devices remove it too.
This is used only to sync your songs between your devices and to sign you in. It is not sold, shared for advertising, or used for anything else.
Who handles it
- Supabase stores your account and synced data (in the United States) and sends sign-in emails. Its logs of sign-ins and requests include your IP address.
- Cloudflare serves the app. Like any web host, its logs include your IP address and browser type.
Cookies and tracking
BeatCity sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no trackers. Signing in keeps a session in your browser's storage so you stay signed in.
Deleting your data
- Delete your account: Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account, your saved songs and your sound settings from our servers, and clears them from the device you use. Use Export first if you want a copy.
- Sign out: removes your synced songs from that device; they stay in your account.
- Without an account: clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything BeatCity saved.
Server logs kept by the providers above are deleted on their own schedules.
